MY WEEK AS A SANDWICH

Marc Brightside

A blue cheese and pastrami
Frankenstein (the monster),
laced with bitter notes of Marmite.
An acquired taste; musky, brackish,
just the slightest bit disgusting.
Solid. Bordering on stale.

Marc Brightside is a British author of poetry and fiction for adults. Since graduating from the University of Winchester, Marc’s poems have been published in various journals both nationally and internationally, including respected outlets such as Honest Ulsterman, Here Comes Everyone, Tuck Magazine and the Birmingham Literary Journal, with a feature on Andy Bungay’s radio podcast.
